Heaven in the Real World:

Living the Abundant Life – Right Here and Right Now

Heaven begins in the here and now with the abundant life that Jesus promises
His followers (John 10:10). The abundant life does not necessarily mean an
abundance of wealth or material blessings but the abundant peace and joy that
abiding in Christ brings.

When teaching His disciples how to pray, Jesus said:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:9-10)

When His will is done on earth as it is in heaven the abundant life of a believer
will be obvious. However, in order to see the abundant life manifested here on
earth we must understand what the abundant life really is and how it is
implemented in the believer’s life.

Over the next four weeks we are going to examine the abundant life – what it
means and how we capture it, beginning on this Wednesday (October 29 th ) with a
bible study titled: The Amazing Abundant Life. Then in the following three
Wednesdays we will cover three spiritual disciplines, which if you will choose to
practice them, will help the Lord produce or enhance the abundant life in you.

October 29: The Amazing Abundant Life (John 10:10; 15:1-17)
November 5: Adjusting your Attitude (James 4:7-10)
November 12: Taming your Tongue (James 3:7-12)
November 19: Fostering your Faith (Mark 7:24-30)
