James implores Christians not only to carefully hear instruction, but to respond by doing what they hear and worship God by committing to heeding instruction. As Christians, we continually receive the Word, but we must act upon what we hear and learn. We must also be transformed by committing to not only hearing the Word, but by doing it also.
