Saul's Jealousy: The Opposite Effect
Sep 10, 2023 • Pastor Mike Job
When David became famous for his military victories (because he had the Spirit of God), Saul became jealous. Saul was driven mad by an evil spirit (since the spirit of the LORD had left him). In a fit of jealous rage, he tried to kill David. Unsuccessful with the spear, Saul tried to use the love of his daughter and the Philistine army to do what he was unable to complete. The more Saul tried to kill David, the more favor David had. We must realize that in our spiritual battles, those who come against us will ultimately be thwarted, for what man intends for evil, God often intends for good.
